Why does silver tarnish?

925 sterling silver naturally tarnishes over time as it comes into contact with air. This does not mean the piece is damaged. With regular and proper care, you can restore your jewelry's shine.

Protect your jewelry in daily use

• Apply perfume, deodorant, hairspray and creams before putting your jewelry on.
• We recommend removing your jewelry before showering, swimming in the sea or pool.
• Removing your jewelry during exercise and situations with heavy sweating helps protect its surface for longer.
• You can gently wipe your jewelry with a soft, dry cloth after use.

For 18K gold-plated jewelry

The gold-plated surface can wear over time due to use and friction. Prolonged contact with perfume, chemicals, water and sweat can shorten the plating's lifespan.

For this reason, we recommend storing your gold-plated jewelry in a dry, closed place when not in use.

Storage

Whenever possible, store your jewelry separately, in a dry, closed box or a jewelry pouch.

Keep away from humid environments and direct sunlight. Preventing pieces from rubbing against each other helps reduce scratching and surface wear.

If your silver tarnishes

For light tarnishing, you can use a soft polishing cloth suitable for silver.

For designs with gemstones or plating, we don't recommend harsh chemicals, toothpaste, baking soda or abrasive cleaners. These can damage the surface or the plating.
