Children's Jewelry Safety
A few things worth knowing before choosing jewelry for a child.
Adult supervision
Like any small accessory, jewelry should be worn under adult supervision by young children. It is not a toy — necklaces and bracelets should be removed before sleep, bath time, and unsupervised play to avoid strangulation or choking risk.
Small parts
Beads, clasps, and charms are small parts that can pose a choking hazard for very young children. We recommend jewelry for children old enough to safely wear small accessories under supervision, generally school age and up.
Skin sensitivity
If your child has sensitive skin or a known metal allergy (e.g. nickel), remove the piece immediately if you notice redness or irritation, and consult a doctor if it persists.
Fit and sizing
Bracelets and necklaces should fit comfortably without being tight — leave room for two fingers between the jewelry and the skin. If unsure about sizing, reach out before ordering and we're happy to help.
